The Disposals Services Authority (“DSA”), part of the Defence Equipment & Support organisation of the UK’s Ministry of Defence, operates a Privacy Policy which applies to all data and information collected by the DSA through the DSA eDisposals Website ("Website"). 4. GOOGLE ANALYTICS: GOOGLE ANALYTICS ("GA") USES A SMALL JAVASCRIPT ON EACH PAGE, WHICH LOADS FILES FROM THE GOOGLE WEBSERVER AND THEN SETS VARIABLES WITH THE DSA'S ACCOUNT NUMBER. THE DSA MAY USE GA TO MONITOR HOW YOU HAVE FOUND OUR WEBSITE AND HOW YOU INTERACT WITH THE WEBSITE.

5. USE OF YOUR INFORMATION The DSA uses the information it collects in order to customise the Website to suit your preferences and to provide additional services to registered users. The information will also enable us to bill you and to contact you where necessary concerning your orders or tender/auction bid. In addition, the DSA uses the information it collects to compile anonymous management and statistical information about the Website, its use and the activities of the DSA and to prevent and detect misuse of the Website. Where you have indicated that you wish the DSA to contact you with details of available equipment, the DSA will use the information it collects to send you updates about the availability of the selected equipment and the services available through the Website. However, the DSA does not supply your contact details to third parties for marketing purposes.

8. SECURITY AND DATA RETENTION We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.

9. ACCESSING AND UPDATING The DSA is committed to the Data Protection Principles and uses your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The Data Protection Act gives you certain rights in relation to the information the DSA holds about you, including the right to update or request a copy of that information. 11. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute in relation to this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
